![]() Today marks #transdayofvisibility, a day to celebrate and recognise the resilience and strength of the transgender community. I'm very happy that I'm able to be in this project with Alex and we're heading into positive things together. Usually when they see someone in a suit they will change their behaviour, or complain about the uniformed member of staff - so this was really refreshing to see. We got Alex in a uniform because I wanted him to see how challenging passengers can behave, and it worked as well as I had hoped. His positive attitude and willingness to learn make him an asset to our team, and I can't wait to see all the amazing things he'll accomplish in the future with our reverse mentoring project. It was truly inspiring to see Alex rise to the occasion and I feel privileged to be able to display what customer service looks like on a high workload intensity train service. Not only that, but he engaged so well with passengers who didn't have tickets, showing great empathy and understanding in what can be a high-stress situation. He used TTK for the first time and the new RID. I had the pleasure of working with him on a train today to Guildford, and I have to say, he was absolutely fantastic.ĭespite going in to the what a Commercial Guard does with limited knowledge and in a company uniform for the first time, Alex quickly picked up the skills he needed to check people's tickets and other relevant passes. ![]() I just wanted to give a shoutout to my amazing mentee, Alex Foulds. ![]()
